When most people think of writers, they tend to think of people who publish the written word. Yet writers exist in many other sections of media where the output may be presented as video or audio.
Regardless the format, the content is often presented as an attraction to something that can be monetized further.
So for instance the primary reason anyone buys a newspaper is for the stories in it. The advertisements with (which also need a s copywriter), are incidental. In other words, except if someone is actively look for a job in the classified adverts section, it is highly unlikely that they would buy a paper for adverts.
This same general attitude applies across other forms of content like music, movies, series and such.
let’s make it clear that the majority of these have to be written first, meaning to say there is a writer involved. the advertisements have to be written as well.
Yet the value of the writer can sometimes be undermined, not only by the vast number of people that benefit from it but from the writers themselves.
Multi-billion dollar entities are able to make fortunes from writings, whether the writings are presented as writings in the final form or conveyed as audio or video. It is very rare that any serious entity would proceed with something that has not been put in writing.
It’s time for writers to see the influence of their writing and use it for themselves to sell ideas, products or influencethe world in a manner that makes the world a better place.
